Local Institutes

Five professional communities facilitating the networking and education development of their local Members.

What are your Local Institutes?

The Local Institutes are voluntary organisations governed by a Local Council and run by industry professionals.

When you become a member of The Insurance Institute, you also select one of our five local institute communities you wish to belong to. Your local institute community gives you an opportunity to grow your network and access local events close to where you live or work.

Events

The Insurance Institute of Galway: Corrib Cruise

All aboard! The Insurance Institute of Galway are setting sail on a cruise down Lough Corrib. Socialise and network with colleagues and other members from around the region before departing on this unique 3-hour cruise aboard the Corrib Princess.

  • Date/Time: 12 July | 6:30pm
  • Location: Departing at 7:00pm from Woodquay, Galway
  • Cost: €25 per person (includes the cruise, food and live DJ)

The Insurance Institute of Dublin: ISC Summer Networking

The Insurance Institute of Dublin is partnering with the ISC Group to deliver the ISC Summer Networking event. Joining us at the event is Angie Mezzetti, a renowned journalist, producer, and host of the popular 'Women in Leadership' podcast, as well as a seasoned communications consultant.

The Insurance Institute of Cork: Summer Social

Come join Mary McAuliffe and the council of The Insurance Institute of Cork for a fun-filled Summer Social on Thursday, 1 August in the Woolshed, where we'll be taking part in the weekly Pub Quiz.

The Insurance Institute of Galway: Annual Dinner

After the success of last year's dinner, President Tracey Mullin-Ryan and her Council are delighted to announce that The Insurance Institute of Galway Annual Dinner 2024 is now open for bookings. Tickets are limited, so please book early!

  • Date/Time: Friday 27 September | 7:00pm (7:30pm start)
  • Location: Galway Bay Hotel, Salthill
  • Cost: Individual ticket €120 or Table €1,200 (max 10 guests)

How can you get involved?

There are plenty of ways to get involved – you can volunteer to join Council, join your Local Institute's LinkedIn community page, or begin by just attending some of the planned events hosted by a Local Institute. Your Local Institute would only be delighted to hear from you!
